About Connection Groups

Ensure opportunity exists for all Pleasant Grove disciples to be involved in studying God’s Holy Word. Create an atmosphere of growth in our relationship with Christ and fellow believers in a community with people who love and care for us.

Share God’s love and His Word with family members, friends, neighbors, co-workers and others who do not know the Lord. Invite family, friends, neighbors, co-workers and others to become disciples of Jesus Christ.

Married Couples


4th Friday
6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

M.O.R.E. stands for Making Our Relationships Everlasting. This connection group is for married couples who meet monthly.

Couples review solid Biblical teachings to enhance healthy marriages, enjoy fellowship, and share great food.


This group is led by Pastor Dieuner and Collette Joseph.

Men's Ministry


Sunday
8:15 am - 9:15 am

This is a connection group and Bible Study class and is committed to providing men the resources to grow in Christ. This is the place to find other men who are interested in celebrating the fellowship God intends for us, and men who live and experience the same challenges of being a man in today's busy world.

It is specifically designed and tailored for men looking to become the husbands, fathers, brothers, and friends God intended for us to be.


This group is led by Deacon Keith Bowler and Reverend Bill Bell.

Women's Ministry

The Women’s Ministry focuses on bringing women together to deepen their faith, enhance fellowship, and strengthen friendships.

This Connection Group provides a Christian atmosphere to encourage Biblical learning for life applications, spiritual, growth and leadership development.


This group is led by Disciples Shelley Knight and Trista Palmer.

Single Young Adults

The Young Adult Connection Group, composed of millennials (disciples and friends 20 - 40 years of age) will focus on issues that impact their lives.

We want our millennials to live full lives which are anchored in Jesus Christ. With so many challenges facing them, this connection group will serve to help them understand how to be the man or woman God has created them to be and simultaneously use their gifts and talents to His glory.


This group is led by Deacon Keith and Disciple Ronna Bowler.

Mature Adults

The Mature Adults Connection (MAC) Group is open to women 55 years of age and older. The group focuses on issues, concerns and activities relevant to mature adults. In addition to fellowship, MAC participants are encouraged to use and share the gifts God has given us.


This group is led by Disciples Barbara Butler and Phyllis Daniel.

Wednesdays

This is PGC’s longest running connection group. Members, who are residents in Durham, gather to share in Bible Study, fellowship, and service projects as friendships are strengthened and PGC’s motto of “Serving God Through Loving Connections” is realized to its fullest extent.
