Our records indicate Pleasant Grove Church began in 1865. The First Service was held in Morrisville, North Carolina near the RDU airport. In August 2006, the church moved to its current location on Davis Drive in Cary. We invite you to join us for worship on Sundays, or at any one of the many opportunities to connect with us during the week. Our motto at the Grove is “Serving God Through Loving Connections” our tag line is “Get Connected”. We strive to do this through our ministries, service opportunities, and programs to connect to our local and international communities.
He heals the brokenhearted and bandages their wounds.
In times of spiritual, emotional or physical pain, we can rely on healing scriptures to comfort our souls and guide us towards recovery.
Life doesn’t always give us what we expect or even hope for. Many of us know what it’s like to be emotionally hurt by friends, family, or even a spouse. Many more know what it is like to live with a disorder, illness, or chronic pain that won’t go away. We all need healing in some way or another. A healing only God can give.
We can rely on God’s power, to not only heal our emotional pain but for physical healing as well. These are the best healing Bible verses to meditate on. May they encourage you with whatever emotional, spiritual, or physical healing you need today.
The Worship & Arts Ministry will host “PGC’s Got Talent” on Sunday, October 28, 2018 during our 9:45 AM Worship Service.
This Exposition was created and designed for the Youth at PGC to share their God given gifts and talents. This event serves as an outlet for our parishioners, guests and friends to celebrate and motivate our Youth to continue using their gifts for Christ.
A powerful Preached Word from God will be delivered by PGC's own, Reverend Travers Sloan.
Come Join Us!!
Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men.
You are invited to the 3rd Annual Ladies Christmas Tea sponsored by the Sister Connection (Pleasant Grove Church’s Women’s Ministry). The theme is “O Holy Night...Christmas around the World.” In Philippians 2:5-7, Jesus came down to earth and made himself nothing, and became a servant. How can we serve others and truly worship the Lord? The Bible tells us that if we take care of the least of these, then we are caring and serving like Jesus. Take time in this busy season to reflect upon, worship and praise God's greatest gift, Jesus Christ!
While prayer and discussion topics are key elements in Sister Connection, the driving force behind the group is the building of relationships. We hosted 100 women last year, along with 8 dapper male servers who are a part of our Men’s Ministry! This year, we have set as our goal to be intentional on reaching out to the community and forming lasting bonds among all women who attend.
Watoto Children’s Choirs have travelled extensively since 1994, sharing a message of hope for Africa’s orphans and widows. To date, the choir has toured six continents and performed to enthralled audiences in schools, retirement homes, churches, parliaments, state houses and royal palaces. The Watoto Children’s Choir concert acts as a fundraising event for Watoto.
The Watoto Children’s Choir is a unique ‘reaching out’ tool. Reach people in your organization, community or church. Address issues of global significance and fuel your missions or outreach program to care for the orphan and widow.
Each child in the Watoto Children’s Choir has suffered the loss of one or both parents and now lives in a Watoto village. The experience of traveling on a choir helps the children to develop confidence and boldness, as well as broadening their worldview.
Accompanied by a team of adults, the choir presents Watoto’s vision and mission by sharing personal stories, music and dance. While on the road, the children act as advocates for the millions of other African children who have experienced the same heartbreaking pain and suffering as them.
During Biblical times the Upper Room was a place devoted to prayer and reflection. Whether it is a place or space in our lives, we come to the Upper Room expecting an encounter with Christ.
The Virtual Upper Room will provide a weekly opportunity for united and focused prayer. A published schedule of topics, subject to change based on the global events of the moment, provide a call to action - to pray for the lost, needy and suffering. And our commission - to pray boldly and consistently in the power of the Holy Spirit.
Join us each Tuesday morning at 6:30 am EST. The call will last approximately 15 minutes. We ask that you will take the focus of the weekly prayer and pray consistently and intently throughout the coming week.
