Nursery Ministry

The Nursery Ministry serves infants and toddlers, from newborn to five years of age during morning Worship. We provide a safe, caring, loving, and learning environment for the children. Also, our dedicated volunteers focus on age-appropriate Biblical teaching.

We have established guidelines for volunteers, who must be at least 21 years of age. Two volunteers are scheduled each Sunday, however additional help is mandatory when ten (10) or more children are present. We also ensure our nursery toys and the interaction between the children are safe.

GroveKids

A dynamic Biblical learning experience for children ages 6-8 and 9-12 during the 9:45 AM Worship Service on 2nd and 3rd Sundays each month. Children participate in Bible lessons enhanced through crafts, games, and kinesthetic learning. Students enjoy a 5 to 1 student to teacher ratio to make sure every child is engaged.

GroveTeens

An exciting and engaging study of God’s Word during the 9:45 AM Worship Service on 2nd and 3rd Sundays each month; this study is designed for teens ages 13 thru 17. Teens participate in hands-on activities and lively discussions about God’s plans for their lives.

Service Opportunities

Pleasant Grove church believes Service is an integral part of youth development. Ultimately, serving others is a way to lay the foundation for sharing the Gospel story. We believe in the importance of students having the opportunity to serve, since service turns into missions.

The youth of PGC will have numerous opportunities to serve. When meeting the physical need and sharing the Gospel for salvation come together, this has a powerful impact on the lives of our youth and the culture around them.

Light To Haiti Project
Partnership with Neighbor to Neighbor

In 2015 PGC launched the “Light To Haiti Project.” The project was intended to put together over 200 solar lights to be shipped to our mission partner in Haiti to benefit individuals in the remote villages of Haiti who have no electricity. The theme of the project was “Light of The World” in reference to John 8:12.

PGC Mission Ministry partnered with Neighbor to Neighbor to help assemble the lights. Neighbor to Neighbor brought a team of youth to PGC who supervised the project of putting the solar light panels together. The project was funded by private donors and by PGC Mission Ministry.  The lights were shipped to Haiti in the summer of 2015.

Marlin Jones
Youth Pastor

Thank you for taking the time to explore our Children and Youth Ministry. We are a family oriented church and offer a variety of services for parents and youth. We have a nursery for infants to age 5 for the 9:45 service. Our dedicated nursery volunteers share Bibles stories and activities with the nursery participants.

On the 1st and 4th Sundays, we have our family- oriented service. On the 2nd and 3rd Sundays, for elementary students, we offer engaging, active learning of God’s Word in small groups known as GroveKids. For middle and high school students on 2nd and 3rd Sundays we have our small groups known as GroveTeens. We believe that students should use their God given gifts for praising and worshiping God so we provide youth opportunities to demonstrate gifts of dance, musical instruments, speaking, and leadership.
